President Napolitano welcomes the call of the G2 network

"The law on citizenship is too restrictive, we need to open new channels of access to Italian citizenship for many young men and many young people, children of immigrants"

The network of children of immigrants "G2 second generation" gave now in the hands of a letter to President Giorgio Napolitano the reform of the Citizenship Act (Act 91 of 1992), on the occasion of the celebration of National Day for the Rights of the Child. Talking to the President and to deliver the call for reform of the law was the seventeen year old Ian Kiggundu, student at Newton High School in Rome, who led the delegation of the network of immigrant children. The delegation, composed of children and adolescents has been received at the Quirinal Palace in the presence of ministers Rosy Bindi, Family policies, and Paolo Ferrero, Social Solidarity, and Anna Maria Serafini, president of the Bicameral Committee for Children. During the ceremony have also talked about children and young people, together with the Group's participation Coordination PIDIDA (For the Rights of the Child, which collects more than 40 Italian NGOs).

"We believe also that she turns to us when he speaks to the entire population - continues to appeal to G2 -. For this reason we ask to make sure that all the children of Italy have the same opportunity to start and may have the same aspirations of the Italians and not remain with the residence permit. I would ask you to seek the path of the Italian law on citizenship that we hope will finally recognize all of equal respect for our peers, the children of Italians, Friends , classmates, neighbors, with whom, shoulder to shoulder, we are already becoming adults. "

The words and the appeal of the G2 network has proved sensitive Napolitano, who concluded the ceremony by declaring: "The law on citizenship is too restrictive, we need to open new channels of access to Italian citizenship for many young men and many young people, children of immigrants. " Full

'shameful!

From an email sent to me by a friend ...

Of all the crimes committed against God and against humanity that is created this is one of the most shameful!

The following images are extremely harsh, but we have to show, for such serious events should not be overlooked.
The world must know, people must be informed on what happens in China, how it can become inhumanly normal contempt for life.
A newborn baby girl lying dead under the edge of sidewalks, in total disregard of those who pass.
The baby is just another victim of the cruel policy of the Chinese government that sets the upper limit of one child in the city (two in rural areas), with abortion
required. During the day, people pass by ignoring the baby.
cars and bikes go splashing mud on the corpse.
Of those who spend only a few paying attention. The newborn is one of more than 1000 newborn girls abandoned each year as a result of Chinese government policy.
The only person who tried to help this little girl said:
"I think he was already dying, but it was still hot and was bleeding from his nostrils." This lady called
Emergency but did not reach anyone.
"The baby was close to the tax offices of the government and many people passed by but no one did anything ... I took these pictures because it was a terrible thing ..."
"The police when they arrived, they seemed more concerned about my photos not for the little one ..."
In China, many believe that girls are trash.
The government of China, the world's most populous country with 1.3 billion people, has imposed its policy of restricting the birth rate in 1979.
The methods used, however, causing horror and suffering: the public, for fear of being discovered by the government, kill or abandon their newborns.
Officially, the government condemns the use of force and cruelty of birth control, however, in daily practice, in charge of the control are subjected to such pressures in order to limit the birth rate, which form the real
squads' Abortion. " These squads capture women "illegally pregnant" and held in prison until he resigned to undergo abortion.
Otherwise, the children "born illegally are not entitled to medical care, education, nor to any other social assistance. Many fathers
sell their "illegal children" to other couples to avoid the punishment of the Chinese government.
Being by far the favorite son male, female children are the main victims of limiting births. Usually the girls are still living with his family after marriage and that makes a real weight.
in rural areas are allowed a second child, but if the second is a female, it is a disaster for the family.
According to official statistics, 97.5% of abortions is represented by female fetuses.
The result is a strong imbalance of proportions between male and female population. Millions of men can not marry, it follows the
trafficking in women. Abortion
selected by sex would be prohibited by law, but it is common practice to bribe employees to get an ultrasound from which to know the sex of the unborn child.
The girls who survive end up in orphanages precarious.
The Chinese government insists its policy of limiting births and ignores the problem of discrimination against girls.
Eventually, a man picked up the body of the child, put him in a box and threw it in the trash.
